A – Always know what you are buying. When you are looking for campers or RVs, before you start shopping, you should have a good idea what you want to buy. What is your price range? What make or model are you most interested in? There are a lot of different types of repo campers you can purchase. But if you are focused, you will have a lot easier and faster time finding what you want. If you want to, you can start by going to Craigslist and looking at pictures of different types of RVs and campers for sale. Look at the different types of campers, just by window shopping, and you should be able to find something that you like. Once you find out what you want to buy, you are going to be a lot better at finding it at an auction.
B – Be at the auction early. An auction is a great place to find a repossessed camper for sale. If you’re going to go to an auction, you might as well go early. This will allow you to see what the playing field is like. You can take some time and study the rules, or you can even go and look at the RVs early. You may even have time to inspect the campers before the auction begins. Even if it’s a silent auction, going there early, will allow you to think clearly and make good competitive bids that will probably win the auction.
C – Camper inspection. Make sure that you inspect the camper and make sure that there are no leaks in it. Make sure to do an especially good job checking the ceiling and the windows for signs of water damage. Also look for signs that the camper has been in an accident. If it has, you probably don’t want to buy this one. Also see how many hours are on the generator and check how much wear and tear is in the camper. If there are very bad smells, you probably want to avoid that camper, because you may not be able to resell it later on if it still has bad smells associated with it.
