Is Fast Weight Loss A Myth?

The weight loss industry has no shortage of claims, gadgets, pills, diets, etc. that supposedly will help you to lose weight.  It is a multiple-billion dollar industry and it is no wonder why people are skeptical.  Is fast weight loss really possible, or is it just a myth that the industry sells?  I am going to explore this idea and show you that it is indeed possible to lose weight quickly, it won’t be easy, but it can be done.

A lot of health club fitness trainers will claim that you can lose 1-2 pounds per week, and why would they try to claim more?  They get paid for your continued sessions, so they push you just to enough to see some results to keep you paying, but not too much results so that you’ll hit your goals a lot quicker.  This is a marketing strategy and does not reflect the true science about what your body can do when it comes to weight loss.

As has been evidenced on shows such as The Biggest Loser, people can lose weight at a much more rapid pace.  Yes, it requires more work, and more due diligence on your heath and making sure that you’re being monitored properly, but it can be done.  It really is just a product of calories in vs calories out.  If you are eating enough to make sure that you have the energy to do the workouts required to burn those calories and more, then you will be able to lose weight, it is that simple.  Not everyone has the time to dedicate to it, but if you are doing the right types of exercises and if your nutrition is dialed in, then you can see fantastic weight loss results.

Is fast weight loss possible?  Absolutely, but it will require work, and knowing what you’re doing, but it is definitely not a myth that you can lose weight quickly.
